Liverpool fans react to starting XI against Midtjylland – is it too strong?

Some Liverpool fans are unhappy with the Reds’ starting lineup for tonight’s clash with Midtjylland, claiming the team is far stronger than expected.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have made the trip to Denmark for their Champions League Group D meeting, with qualification for the last-16 already in the bag.

Liverpool will also top their group regardless of the result, meaning there is actually nothing riding on the game this evening.

That being said, it is still a great opportunity to see youngsters and fringe players try and prove their worth, with Klopp making eight changes to the side that beat Wolves 4-0 on Sunday.

Caoimhin Kelleher continues in goal after some impressive form, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Rhys Williams, Fabinho and Kostas Tsimikas in front of him in defence.

The midfield sees a debut handed to Leighton Clarkson, with Naby Keita and Takumi Minamino also starting.

In attack, there is an opportunity for Diogo Jota, Divock Origi and Mohamed Salah to shine.

These Liverpool fans have been providing their thoughts on the team on Twitter, with many not overly happy with how strong it is.
