Callum Hudson-Odoi is expected to be fit for Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Liverpool, according to the Daily Star.

The 20-year-old was substituted with a fitness issue at half-time in Sunday’s 0-0 draw at home to Manchester United, with Thomas Tuchel confirming that his removal was injury-related.

It is now thought that Hudson-Odoi has recovered and will be available for Thursday’s crucial trip to Anfield, though, having looked a major doubt.

Chelsea are one point clear of Liverpool in fifth place, highlighting the importance of the game in the top four battle.

Hudson-Odoi has been a regular since Tuchel took charge in January, often adopting a right-sided role, providing pace and directness to the Blues’ attack.

It appears likely that a start may now come his way against Liverpool, pitting him up against Andy Robertson.

It could be a key battle at Anfield, with the Scot looking to burst forward and make the young Englishman do his defensive duties.

Should Tuchel feel that Hudson-Odoi isn’t ready, however, Christian Pulisic, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner are all waiting in the wings, after being on the bench for the United match.
