Liverpool will need to make their presence known int he upcoming summer transfer window.

The club will be faced with the prospect of losing one of their most important players of the last few seasons.

Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum sees his contract with the club run out at the end of the current campaign.

The Reds have failed to agree on a new deal and it is likely that Wijnaldum will depart at the end of this season.

This leaves Liverpool with the tough task of replacing such an important player in the next few months.

Plenty of options have been discussed with Brighton’s Yves Bissouma and Lyon’s Houssem Aouar viable options.

However, there may be another possibilty on the horizon.

The Reds have been linked with a move for German youngster Florian Neuhaus, who reportedly wants a move to Anfield.

According to Christian Falk of BILD, Neuhaus is dreaming of a move to Liverpool but it won’t come cheap for the Reds.

BILD also report that the Reds would have to submit an ‘immoral offer’ to secure Neuhaus’ services this summer.

This offer would need to be in excess of his €40million release clause, as cited by AnfieldCentral.

It may seem like a big fee to pay for such a young player but the interest in Neuhaus is warranted.

At just 24-years-old, the German has become an integral part of Borussia Monchengladbach’s midfield.

The youngster has 113 appearances for Gladbach, with 15 goals and 20 assists from central midfield – a great return.

It is likely we will see a few new faces joint he Reds this summer ahead of next season.

Let’s hope that they have what it takes to get Liverpool back into fighting form for the Premier League title.
