Liverpool have confirmed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will wear the number 15 shirt next season.
The number 15 shirt has belonged to Daniel Sturridge since his arrival back in 2013 but with the England striker leaving the club this summer, the number has become vacant and Oxlade-Chamberlain has decided that he would like to wear it.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has worn the number 21 shirt since arriving from Arsenal last summer, but he’s decided he wants to change.
However, as per Liverpool’s press release, the midfielder will personally reimburse any fans who have purchased a ‘Chamberlain 21’ by way of a like-for-like exchange for a ‘Chamberlain 15’ jersey.
This offer applies to all shirts purchased in official club outlets and via the official LFC online store before midnight on 5th June 2019. Full exchange details will be announced by Liverpool shortly.
Oxlade-Chamberlain will join Sturridge, Jamie Redknapp, Patrik Berger, Peter Crouch, Salif Diao and Yossi Benayoun as a player to wear number 15 at Liverpool.
