Brighton could be without both Lamptey and Lallana against Liverpool

Brighton are definitely without Tariq Lamptey for their Premier League clash with Liverpool this weekend, but former Reds midfielder Adam Lallana could also miss out, according to This Is Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s champions make the trip to the Amex Stadium on Saturday lunchtime, with either a draw, or more preferably a win, taking them top of the table.

Brighton sit 16th in the league currently, but they are a talented side under Graham Potter, and have arguably deserved more points than they currently have.

The excellent Lamptey will miss the game through suspension, having been sent-off against Aston Villa last weekend.

Lallana could also be absent, however, as he comes up against his former teammates. The 32-year-old will have a late fitness test on his groin before the game.

If both Lamptey and Lallana are out for Brighton, it is undoubtedly a big boost for Liverpool.

Lamptey has been one of the league’s outstanding right-backs so far this season, impressing with his pace and attacking quality, registering a goal and an assist apiece.

Meanwhile, Lallana has had a big impact since joining from the Reds, bringing great experience and nous to Potter’s team.

He also knows Liverpool’s players inside out, having worked alongside so many for years, so not having to face him will be a bonus.
