Emre Can returns to full training

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has returned to full training, the Liverpool Echo reports.

The German international has been enduring a spell on the sidelines recently but has handed the Reds a timely boost by joining up with the squad for full training, which took place on Monday evening.

Can was ruled out of Liverpool’s recent 1-1 draw against Chelsea having suffered an unspecified muscle problem.

However, he is now in action with the squad and will be hoping to put himself in Jurgen Klopp’s plans for the upcoming trip to Stoke City this week.

Can is looking all but set to leave Liverpool in the coming months, with his contract rapidly coming to its expiration. However, he remains a key player for Klopp, who will hope to see his side mount a push for the top four in the coming weeks.

Liverpool are currently sat in 6th place and will need to be on top form to defeat Stoke on Wednesday.
