Fekir admits Liverpool and Lyon will have discussions about summer move

Nabil Fekir refused to be drawn on stories linking him with a move to Liverpool but did admit that discussions will take place between the Reds and Lyon.

Speaking at a press conference for the French national team, the 24-year-old said:

Liverpool and my future? I am not thinking about that. There will be discussions with the Lyon President. For the moment, nothing is done.

Reports emerged in the UK press last night saying that the Reds will make a push to complete a deal for the French international after the Champions League final this weekend, and these reports back up what has been said by various French journalists over the past few weeks.

Lyon are in no desperate need to sell Fekir but they have a history of allowing players to leave, so Liverpool will be confident of getting a deal over the line in the near future.
