In an interview with Stadium Astro, former Everton and Tottenham Hotspur star Gary Steven urged Liverpool to sign Christian Eriksen from his former club.
Steven said that the Reds need to strengthen again in midfield in order to get even better and he thinks a player like Eriksen would be the perfect fit.
I think Liverpool need to sign a player that will get into any side. I think Christian Eriksen would be brilliant for Liverpool. He creates things, he makes things happen, gets on the ball and scores goals. And if you look at his stats, he covers the yards.
There is no doubting that Eriksen has developed into one of the Premier League’s best players and as such, he’s being touted as a potential summer transfer target for Real Madrid.
It’s clear that Liverpool, and indeed any team in the league, would benefit from bringing in the Danish star but the chances of Spurs allowing him to leave seem slim and the chances of them allowing him to leave to join a Premier League rival are very, very remote.
