James Milner set to be fit to face Huddersfield Town

James Milner looks set to be fit to face Huddersfield Town this weekend, despite reports suggesting that he’d be out for a month after he injured his hamstring against Manchester City.

As per a report from David Maddock of The Mirror, Milner has not yet trained after suffering the injury but he could join his teammates in Thursday’s session and if he does, then he’ll back in contention to face the Terriers on Saturday afternoon.

Milner was substituted in the first half of the game against his former side and he went for a scan pretty much immediately, and the initial diagnosis was that he’d be out for a month, but he’s reportedly responded well to treatment and he’s been given the go-ahead to step up his workload.

Liverpool have a few players with question marks over their fitness. Virgil van Dijk should be fit to face the Terriers, but Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are both doubts after picking up minor issues whilst on international duty.
