Jurgen Klopp could face disciplinary action after his comments about referee Kevin Friend following Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with West Ham on Monday night, as per a report from Sean Dean of The Telegraph.
Liverpool took the lead in the game in controversial fashion as James Milner was clearly offside when he received the ball from Adam Lallana. The assistant referee failed to raise his flag and Milner went on to assist Sadio Mane, who put the visitors in front.
Speaking after the game, Klopp said the he thought Friend’s second-half performance was impacted as he knew there’d been a clear error in favour of Liverpool and as such, any marginal call went the way of The Hammers.

Whilst managers are allowed to answer questions about officials, they are not allowed to imply bias, question the integrity of officials or say anything that can be deemed as personally offensive.
Klopp’s comments could be seen as implying bias and questioning Friend’s integrity and as such, he could find himself in trouble with the FA.
Klopp has already been fined by the FA for running into the pitch to celebrate Liverpool’s injury-time winner against Everton and previous history is taken into account by the FA when they consider sanctions of other offences.
