Another brilliant moment involving Joel Matip sums up why he is such funny character, and an undisputed Liverpool cult hero.
The 29-year-old arrived from Schalke in the summer of 2016, and has been an excellent servant for the Reds.
Injuries have unfortunately hampered him too often, be is a dominant centre-back when fit, as highlighted in the 2019 Champions League final, when he was just as good as Virgil van Dijk.
The Cameroonian is known for his funny personality, often being humorous without even realising.
On Monday, a clip emerged of Matip in training ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League meeting with Ajax, in which he did his warm-up in comical fashion:

Matip is clearly an intriguing character and it is also obvious how popular he is in the dressing room.
He possesses a laid-back, almost unique character in comparison to his Liverpool teammates, with new clips seemingly emerging by the week.
Most importantly, however, Matip is a hugely key member of this Reds squad, especially with Van Dijk and Joe Gomez out injured for so long.
His impact between now and the end of the season is going to be vital, and it is imperative that he stays largely fit.
