Liverpool drawn against Bayern Munich in the Champions League Last 16

Liverpool have been drawn against Bayern Munich in the Last 16 of the Champions League.

Having finished second behind PSG in Group C, the Reds could have been drawn against any of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Porto or Real Madrid and it was Munich who were the last team pulled out of the bowl.

The first game of the two-legged tie will be played at Anfield, with the second at the Allianz Arena.

Having made it to the final last season, Liverpool endured a mixed time of things in the group stages, losing all three away games. However, their three home wins were enough to put them into the draw for the Last 16 and they’ll be hoping that their excellent record in two-legged European ties under Jurgen Klopp continues.
