A number of Liverpool fans have been calling for the return of Xherdan Shaqiri, after some memorable footage emerged on Wednesday.
The Swiss arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2018, making the move from Stoke City.
It has been a frustrating Reds career to date for Shaqiri, however, with injuries too often holding him back.
The 29-year-old is a hugely talented footballer, but that inability to stay fit has prevented him from truly making his mark in Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Shaqiri’s greatest outing in a Reds shirt arguably came at home to Manchester United on this day in 2018, when he scored twice in a 3-1 victory.
The Switzerland legend popped up with a brace with the score at 1-1 in the second half, instantly making himself a hero in the process.
On Wednesday, Liverpool’s official Twitter account posted footage of the game on its two-year anniversary.

Shaqiri is so clutch, I hate these niggling injuries that he keeps on getting.
