A number of Liverpool fans have been showing their support for Joe Gomez, following a rare injury update from the centre-back.
The 23-year-old’s season was ended prematurely in November after suffering a serious knee injury in England training.
It was another huge blow for Liverpool, with Virgil van Dijk already sidelined with cruciate ligament damage, and Joel Matip incapable of staying fit for long periods.
The Reds have done impressively without their main centre-back options available, but there is still a feeling that their lead at the top of the Premier League would be greater with them around.
On Saturday, Gomez posted a photo of him working on his injury recovery on an exercise bike [via The Redmen TV on Twitter], with the caption: “There’s beauty in the struggle”.

It was an encouraging and positive update from the Englishman, although he is still likely to be out for many months.
