Some Liverpool supporters have been reacting to the Reds’ starting lineup against Aston Villa this evening, with bemusement at how strong it is.
Jurgen Klopp’s men head to Villa Park for their FA Cup third round clash, with their opponents fielding a youth team because of the virus currently affecting the world.
It means Liverpool are hot favourites going into the game, looking for a rare good run in the competition.
Klopp has named his team for tonight’s match, with the starting XI far stronger than many had expected.
Caoimhin Kelleher starts in goal, with Neco Williams, Rhys Williams, Fabinho and James Milner making up the defence.
Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum start in midfield, along with youngster Curtis Jones, who is looking for a return to form.
In attack, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane accompany Takumi Minamino, with Roberto Firmino on the substitutes’ bench.
