Caoimhin Kelleher was delighted with his performance in Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Ajax on Tuesday night.
The Reds got the better of the Eredivisie giants, meaning they qualified for the Champions League knockout rounds.
Curtis Jones scored the only goal at Anfield, but Kelleher was equally impressive on his debut in the competition, making several important saves.
His brilliant stop to deny Klaas-Jan Huntelaar was particularly good, denying the Dutchman in the dying minutes.
An overjoyed Kelleher spoke to BT Sport after the game, admitting, “my phone’s been hoppin'”:
"Yeah jeez my phone's been hoppin'" 😂

Read Liverpool Verdict
There was understandable concern when Alisson was ruled out of Tuesday’s game, but Kelleher performed admirably at Anfield.
He never looked ruffled or out of his depth at any point, arguably looking a more competent option than Adrian, especially with his distribution.
If Alisson is again out of Sunday’s Premier League clash at home to Wolves, Kelleher has arguably done enough to justify another start.
