Liverpool keen on Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos

Liverpool are reportedly leading the way to fight for the signing of Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid, with the youngster looking for more game time, according to The Mirror.

The 21-year-old central midfielder is thought of as one of the best and biggest upcoming stars in world football, which prompted Zinedine Zidane to sign him from Real Betis in the summer.

However, he is featuring as a substitute and rarely getting 90 minutes, only playing two full games for Los Blancos, both legs of a Copa del Rey tie against Fuenlabrada.

He did score twice on his debut in La Liga away at Alaves, and recently netted a hat-trick for Spain U21’s against Slovakia U21’s but the many stars ahead of him in the pecking order at Real Madrid means he has not really had a chance to impress at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Many European giants are keen on Ceballos, with him still being a brilliant talent at such a tender age, but Jurgen Klopp looks as if he, and Liverpool, are most likely to grab him in January.

With Emre Can not looking as if he will extend his contract to stay in Merseyside, Ceballos would be an ideal replacement.

It is unknown if Ceballos is looking to leave, but he is not happy with the lack of action he is getting on the pitch, and Liverpool may take advantage  that and add a very good player to their squad.
