Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have joined team-mates Virgil van Dijk and Dejan Lovren in being named among the top 15 in their positions.
FIFPro have announced their top 15 forwards in world football, as voted for by fellow professionals and there is a place for both Salah and Mane.
The shortlisted players will then be battling for a place in the ‘World 11’, which will be announced at the Best FIFA Football Awards later this month.
Both players enjoyed standout campaigns last season, despite many believing that Mane was underperforming at Anfield.
Salah was by far Liverpool’s top performer during the previous campaign, winning award after award for his efforts.
Between the two of them, they scored 64 goals in all competitions last season, with the Reds reaching the Champions League final and sealing a place in the top four.
Jurgen Klopp will need the pair to be as equally impressive this time around if they are to live up to the billing of Manchester City’s closest title rivals.
