Rangers’ managing director Stewart Robertson has confirmed that his club will try to sign Ryan Kent from Liverpool on a permanent deal this summer.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Robertson was asked a question about Kent during a Q&A segment at the ORSA convention in New Zealand. In his answer, he confirmed the Rangers are planning to make a move to sign the winger on a permanent basis.
Kent had played 33 games under Steven Gerrard this season, scoring five goals and assisting a further eight and it looks like everyone at Rangers has been happy with the 22-year-old’s performances.

Kent joined Liverpool at the age of seven and progressed through the club’s academy but has only made one first-team appearance; as part of a much-changed side that drew 2-2 with Exeter City in the FA Cup back in 2016.
Kent has spent time on loan at Coventry City, Barnsley, Freiburg, and Bristol City in the past but it’s at Rangers where he’s found his feet and manager Gerrard seems keen to keep the winger in Scotland.
