Robertson and Henderson expected to be fit for Leicester clash

Andy Robertson and Jordan Henderson should be fit for Liverpool’s clash with Leicester City, according to the Mirror‘s David Maddock.

The Reds host the Foxes in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, looking to beat the current league leaders and make it a club-record 64 games unbeaten at home in the league.

Robertson and Henderson have been doubts for the game, but Maddock claims that the pair may be available, with neither of their knocks picked up on international duty seemed serious.

It is stated that Liverpool are ‘cautiously optimistic’ about Robertson and Henderson featuring prominently, with the latter withdrawn from England duty ahead of their clash with Iceland on Wednesday.

This will come as a boost to Jurgen Klopp, considering he is definitely without Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez for the game.

This is a major positive for the Reds, assuming both Robertson and Henderson are fit to start.

The duo are two key men for Klopp, with Robertson providing endless energy and quality from left-back, and Henderson leading superbly in the middle of the park, bringing great industry.

Leicester will provide Liverpool with a stern test on Sunday, so they need as many star men available as possible.

Henderson could start alongside Thiago and Gini Wijnaldum in midfield, allowing Fabinho to partner Joel Matip at centre-back.

This is assuming Thiago and Fabinho are fit, although that is unknown currently.
