Liverpool striker Sadio Mane is a doubt for the Reds’ trip to face Burnley on Wednesday after picking up a foot injury in the Merseyside derby on Sunday afternoon.
Mane, who Jurgen Klopp described as his standout attacker in the game, suffered a painful cut to his foot around the 70th minute of the game but continued on for the full 90 minutes.
As reported by Goal, the Senegalese star is in some pain and as such, it’s unclear if he’ll be able to take part in the game on Wednesday.

Speaking about Mane’s performance and his injury, Klopp said:
Sadio had the standout performance of the three (forwards). Yes, he had the chances and he didn’t use them, but he was pretty much not (easy) to defend in one-on-one situations. He got better minute by minute. If you see now he is sitting in the dressing room and has a cut on his foot. Twenty minutes from the end he got it, I don’t know how it happened but it was a very painful thing.
Liverpool only have a few days to recover after the derby, a game which was won 1-0 thanks to a 95th-minute goal from Divock Origi, who capitalised on a mistake from Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
