Virgil van Dijk took a knock to his ankle during the 2-1 win over Tottenham and has to apply ice to it after the game.
However, it seems like the Dutchman has recovered from the injury as he took part in training, he even had a go at playing in goal for good measure!
There were some worries that Van Dijk would miss Friday’s trip to his former club Southampton due to the ankle issue but those have now been quickly dashed as the world’s most expensive defender took part in the afternoon session at Melwood on Tuesday.

Whilst Van Dijk did train, Joe Gomez, who hasn’t played for the Reds since he suffered a fractured leg during Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Burnley in early December, did not.
That means that Gomez is highly unlikely to ready to face Southampton so Jurgen Klopp will have the choice of another former Saint, Dejan Lovren, or Joel Matip to partner Van Dijk at the heart of the Liverpool defence.
