Former Liverpool striker confirms next Liverpool transfer signing with social post

Former Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez has sent a public message of support to his international teammate Ronald Araujo ahead of joining the Reds.

Ironically, neither Liverpool nor Barcelona have officially announced the transfer, although news of the loan move has been widespread.

In the message Nunez said, “I wish you the best in this great club, friend @RonaldAraujo_4… I’m deeply glad that you can feel what the affection and support of the @LFC fans is like, they are special and they’re going to make you feel it that way, now you’re a red too, from afar always wishing you the best ¡VAMO ARRIBA! ❤️🙏🏽”

The Araujo transfer saga

On Friday night Fabrizio Romano announced that a loan signing had been agreed between Liverpool and Barcelona, with Liverpool covering his full salary.

The next morning he revealed that Liverpool would have the option to sign Araujo at the end of the loan move for £55 million.

Araujo has since arrived in Liverpool for a medical and the defender’s agent was spotted in the background of a Sky Sports interview with Florian Wirtz speaking to Richard Hughes.

It is now to be expected that there will be an official announcement in the next day or two.
