Liverpool are becoming increasingly willing to splash the cash this summer following the arrival of Virgil van Dijk, according to Jurgen Klopp.
The Independent report that the Reds have been impressed with the impact the Dutchman has had since joining from Southampton during the January window.
If the player is the right player this club will pay big money, when the player is the right player it is not important how expensive he was. He needs to fit in the team, that’s why we paid the price (for Van Dijk).

Van Dijk, a long-term transfer target for Klopp’s men, had been heavily linked with a summer move but was forced to wait until the new year to complete his £75 million switch.
The central defensive position had been a troublesome area for Klopp but the former Southampton man has slotted straight into the side and the improvements are clear to see.
Liverpool have historically been tight spenders, falling behind the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City in the transfer market.
The Reds are being urged to spend big in the summer as they look to close the gap between themselves and the top clubs in the Premier League next season.
