Trent Alexander-Arnold is reportedly set for a double reward with a new contract at Anfield and a place in Gareth Southgate’s World Cup in Russia.
The Mirror claim that the defender is in line for a new deal after impressing in recent weeks.
Alexander-Arnold has been one of the standout performers for Liverpool since the turn of the year, standing out both in the Premier League and the Champions League.
The young defender was one of the club’s best players over two legs against Manchester City in the Champions League, which has prompted the England boss to consider him for this summer’s tournament.
The full-back has only made a handful of appearances for the England U-21 side and is yet to make his debut for the Three Lions’ senior side.
Alexander-Arnold only signed a new deal at Anfield last summer but this new deal is likely to see him receive a wage boost.
