Lazar Markovic is unlikely to secure a permanent move to RSC Anderlecht in the summer, with the winger set for a return to Liverpool.
The former Benfica star was sent out to the Belgian club on loan but it appears as though he has flattered to deceive, with Anderlecht not overly keen on signing Markovic permanently.
According to reports from Het Nieuwsblad, via Calciomercato, the 24-year-old is not likely to remain in the Pro League next season and will be making his way back to Anfield at the end of the season.
Markovic has made only two starts for Anderlecht this season and hasn’t been in good form. Liverpool have been trying to get him off the books for some time but have been forced to settle for loan deals in recent years.
With the Serbian winger again failing to impress away from Merseyside, it’s likely that he will be offloaded in the summer.
