The Daily Mail states that the Potters will cash in on the player if they drop into the second tier at the end of the season.

The Reds are likely to be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer, despite Loris Karius making a claim to be the club’s number one throughout the second half of the campaign.

With Joe Hart currently on loan from Manchester City and concerns over the long-term future of Adrian, West Ham are also likely to be chasing a new goalkeeper this summer.

Alisson and Jan Oblak have both been linked with big-money moves to Anfield, but Butland could be seen as a cheaper alternative.
