Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly staged an interview with Zeljko Buvac, as speculation surrounding his future at Liverpool rumbles on.

The Reds’ assistant manager will not be a part of the coaching team for the rest of the season and despite plenty of rumours, the reason for this decision is not yet known.

Buvac has been linked with a shock move to Arsenal as Arsene Wenger’s replacement but, according to an exclusive report from Back Page Football, he is being eyed by Frankfurt this summer.

The Bundesliga outfit will be in need of a new first-team manager as Niko Kovac gets set to complete his move to Bayern Munich.

It appears as though Buvac will be departing Anfield in the summer, having been by Jurgen Klopp’s side for the vast majority of his managerial career.

The report claims that whilst a deal for Buvac to be appointed as the new Frankfurt boss is some way away, it seems there is no way back for the assistant at Liverpool.
