Juventus to push through Can deal with huge agent fees promised

Juventus are set to push through their deal to sign Liverpool midfielder Emre Can this summer after offering the player’s agents a lucrative pay packet.

It’s claimed by Italian news outlet La Gazzetta, as cited in a report from Calciomercato, that a huge sum will be paid to Can’s representatives if he puts pen to paper on a deal at Juve.

The reigning Serie A champions have been targeting the German international for some time now and it seems as though an agreement between all parties is not far away.

Can does not look set to put pen to paper on a contract extension at Anfield, despite Jurgen Klopp’s best efforts. The midfielder’s existing deal expires in the summer, meaning Can can join Massimiliano Allegri’s side on a free transfer.

The Reds will be well-stocked with midfield options ahead of next season, with Naby Keita joining from RB Leipzig.

However, reports indicate that Liverpool will still look to replace Can with a holding midfielder in the same mould, with a move away from Anfield little more than a formality now, it seems.
