Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says ‘a couple more’ players will follow Naby Keita to Anfield this summer.
According to a report from the Mirror, Klopp promised to strengthen his squad this summer in a bid to improve on Liverpool’s campaign this season.
We already have Naby Keita coming and that is really good and we will probably sign a couple more players, because that’s how it is. We have to strengthen, first of all, the squad.
To bring in players who are 200 per cent better than the players we already have will be quite difficult, but we still need to do a few things to have more depth in the squad. That is very important.
The Reds will be hoping to mount a serious title challenge next season after their success in Europe.
Despite reaching the Champions League final, the Reds failed to seriously test or push Manchester City this year.
Keita will join Liverpool in the summer after the Reds agreed a deal to sign the player when they missed out on his signature previously.
The midfielder will join the club as a replacement for Emre Can, who is widely expected to leave the club for Juventus.
The German midfielder is out of contract in the summer and has been unable to agree on fresh terms at Anfield.
