Liverpool keen on Nottingham Forest prospect Bondswell
Liverpool are set to face a battle with Manchester United for the signing of Nottingham Forest youngster Matthew Bondswell this summer, according to ESPN.
The full-back has been in fine form for the club’s Under-18s this season and has also prospered on the international stage, playing a role for England at youth level.
Forest are keen to keep the player among their ranks but have struggled to agree on a scholarship contract with the promising young left-back.
As a result, Liverpool and United are both claimed to be interested in moving for the player and clearly feel that they can get respective deals over the line.
Liverpool will feel that they have the advantage over United in their pursuit of Bondswell, due to the fact that the player was a fan of the club when he was growing up.
With Doswell being only 16-years-old, it seems that he would move into the Under-18 squad for Liverpool if he does indeed make the big switch.
