Liverpool are leading the race to sign Anderson Talisca from Benfica this summer, according to reports from Portugal.
The Reds have been heavily linked with a swoop for the Brazilian midfielder in recent times following his impressive spell in Turkey with Besiktas on loan.
Talisca was in superb form throughout the course of last season and was hugely influential for Besiktas. The 24-year-old found the net on 20 occasions in all competitions and contributed with a further seven assists.
It’s stated by Portuguese news outlet Record that Anfield is the most likely destination for Talisca as he seeks an exit from Benfica this summer.
The creative midfielder has been named as a target for a number of top clubs, including Serie A giants Roma. However, it seems Liverpool have moved ahead of their rivals in the race to land Talisca.
Manchester United have also been keen on the midfielder in recent times but they will evidently need to fend off competition from Liverpool if they are to land him.
