Barcelona open to selling Liverpool target Cillessen

Barcelona are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for second-choice goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen this summer, amid claims that he could make a switch to Liverpool.

According to a report from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, the Reds remain keen to land Cillessen and will explore the possibility of signing him this summer.

Cillessen is currently acting as second fiddle to Marc-Andre ter Stegen at Camp Nou, with the German international regarded as the number one goalkeeper by Ernesto Valverde.

Liverpool, along with Arsenal, have been heavily linked with a swoop for Cillessen and it’s claimed by Mundo Deportivo that Barcelona will listen to any potential offers for the Netherlands international in the coming weeks.

The 29-year-old’s contract at Barcelona currently entails a release clause worth a reported €60 million – a sum which the Reds are highly unlikely to spend on the player.

Liverpool have been linked with a number of goalkeepers in recent weeks and it seems they are intending to replace Loris Karius this summer.
