Liverpool set their sights on Thomas Strakosha
With Liverpool’s efforts to sign Alisson from Roma likely to be of no avail, it seems they are turning their attention elsewhere as they go in search of a new goalkeeper.
The Reds want to sign Alisson this summer but it seems Roma are determined to retain his services, throwing Liverpool’s chances into doubt.
However, fresh reports from Italy indicate that the Reds are wasting no time in their hunt for a new number one, with Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha the latest name to be linked.
According to claims from Il Messaggero, as cited in a report from Calciomercato, Liverpool are ready to raid Lazio this summer as they bid to replace Loris Karius with Strakosha.
The 23-year-old was a mainstay between the sticks for Simone Inzaghi’s side last term, making 38 appearances in Serie A. His displays in Italy earned him plenty of praise, as he contributed to a strong campaign for Lazio.
Strakosha is also an established international for his native Albania.
