It was reported earlier this week that Lazio had expressed an interest in signing Marko Grujic from Liverpool this summer.
The young midfielder spent the duration of last season on loan at Cardiff City and contributed as the Bluebirds secured automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Despite Grujic’s impressive performances in Wales, his short-term future at Anfield remains unlikely. Following the arrival of Fabinho and Naby Keita, competition for midfield spots in Jurgen Klopp’s team is fiercer than ever, and Grujic appears to be out of favour.

A move away this summer appears to be on the cards and according to news reports from Italy, as cited by the Mirror, negotiations between Liverpool and Lazio are ongoing.
It’s claimed that Simone Inzaghi wants Lazio’s deal for Grujic to be completed before Serbia kick off their World Cup campaign next week, with a deal worth in the region of €6million touted.
Grujic is reportedly a target for Cardiff again this summer, but a move to Italy appears to now be on the cards for the Serbian international.
