Andriy Lunin to turn down Liverpool move with heart set on Madrid
Andriy Lunin will turn down the chance to join Liverpool as he has his heart set on joining Real Madrid.
The Mirror reports that the Zorya Luhansk goalkeeper was a target for the Reds, but now looks set to join the Champions League winners.
Liverpool made a last-ditch attempt to lure him to Anfield, having been linked with the player for some time, but the Spanish giants look set to sign the player for £11 million.
It is yet to be seen how much game time Lunin will receive in Spain, but with Kiko Casilla looking to leave the club this summer, he could be installed as Madrid’s number two.
The report claims that the player will join up with his new team-mates for pre-season and Julen Lopetegui will make a decision on the player’s immediate future.
Lunin, despite his tender age of just 19, has already made two appearances for the Ukrainian national team.
