New Liverpool signings Fabinho and Naby Keita are both due to receive their debuts for the club against Chester.
As per a report from the Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that both players will start in the fixture against the National League North outfit.
If they’ll start, I don’t know, to be honest. I haven’t made the line-up so far, I have to see who is available. But, yes, they will be involved for sure.
While it is not an official competitive debut for the club, it will give fans a chance to see the new summer signings for the first time.
It is unclear how strong the Liverpool line up is likely to be as the Reds get their preparations underway for the new season.
Fabinho joined the club from AS Monaco in a £45 million deal this summer, while Keita agreed a deal last year, but only recently made the move to Anfield.
With the likes of Xherden Shaqiri being linked with a move to Anfield and a new first-choice goalkeeper in Klopp’s sights, Liverpool’s starting XI could look very different by the time the new season kicks off.
