Grujic linked with loan move to Russia

Marko Grujic is reportedly close to moving to CSKA Moscow on loan.

According to a report in Championat (translated by TEAMtalk), Liverpool are in talks with the Russian club regarding the move.

Grujic joined the Reds in 2016, and has struggled to make a lasting impression on manager Jürgen Klopp in his time at Anfield.

Making just 14 appearances in his two seasons on Merseyside, the Serbian received an opportunity to join Championship outfit Cardiff on loan in January.

In his time in South Wales, Grujic saw the Bluebirds promoted to the Premier League, and Neil Warnock was reportedly keen to bring the 22-year-old back to the Cardiff City Stadium.

However, it appears as though Grujic may be heading abroad for his loan chance this season.

Liverpool are supposedly eager to tie Grujic down to a new deal before he leaves, with the player himself said to be interested in making the trip to Russia.
