Liverpool star Georginio Wijnaldum has been explaining how Jurgen Klopp’s fighting attitude is helping to keep the team on their toes.
Speaking to the club’s official website, the Dutchman opened up on Klopp’s demand that the Reds ‘stay angry’ as they gear up for a Premier League title challenge this season.
Of course I think he’s happy when we play good, play well and win games, but he is always also busy with ‘be aware that things can change if you don’t give 100 per cent, if you are not concentrated, if you are not playing angry’, because every game, in the Premier League especially, is a fight.

Wijnaldum is a key player for Klopp and has started the season in a strong fashion, featuring in the Reds’ two wins against West Ham and Crystal Palace in the last fortnight.
Klopp has been ensuring since his arrival at Anfield that the first-team group remain grounded, with bigger tests awaiting them in the future.
Every team wants to win a game, every team is trying to score and make it as difficult as possible for you to score a goal and to play your game. So if you’re not concentrated, if you’re not hungry or maybe don’t give 100 per cent, everything that you work with in the first two games can be away.

This will undoubtedly be the case for Liverpool as they look to carry forward their impressive early-season form into this weekend’s encounter with a confident Brighton and Hove Albion side.
Wijnaldum will be keen to continue in the midfield against the Seagulls, with the Netherlands international evidently enjoying his football at the moment.
So he makes sure that we are staying with both feet on the ground, work hard and tries to make us realise that we have to do a lot to play a good game.
