England manager Gareth Southgate is set to promote Liverpool forward Dominic Solanke into his first-team squad as he looks to solve his striking problems, according to a report on the Mirror.
England only managed to score twice in two matches during the international break and both of those goals were scored by Marcus Rashford.

The lack of another goalscoring striker besides Kane and Rashford has Southgate worried and he believes that Solanke is the answer to his problems.
Southgate invited Solanke to train with the senior squad earlier this month and was impressed with what he saw.
However, the England boss has concerns because of Solanke’s playing time for Liverpool. The young forward has not been in any of Jurgen Klopp’s matchday squads this season.
With Solanke not getting regular game time, Southgate faces a selection dilemma, with Kane the only regular starting striker in the England squad.
Southgate reportedly prefers Solanke over Tammy Abraham and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The former Chelsea striker is still with the under-21 squad for now but Southgate is hoping that he gets more playing time in the domestic competitions for Liverpool.
