Mane and Solanke both to miss Bournemouth clash
Sadio Mane is set to miss Saturday’s game against Bournemouth, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, as reported by Carl Markham, Klopp confirmed that Mane has not recovered in time for the game.
Mane is not the only player likely to miss out, with Dejan Lovren, Nathaniel Clyne and Dominic Solanke also ruled out of the game.
The latter is expected to return to training on Monday, with the injury not believed to be too serious.
Going into the game Liverpool had a number of injury worries after their midweek trip to Burnley, but both Andrew Robertson and Gini Wijnaldum are both expected to start against Eddie Howe’s men.
The pressure will not be easing up for Liverpool during the early kick-off against Bournemouth, with Manchester City travelling to Chelsea later that day.
Liverpool know that they must take all three points to maintain pace with Pep Guardiola’s side over the Christmas period.
