Liverpool are reportedly ready to rival Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld from Club Brugge.
According to claims from the Daily Mail, the Reds are interested in the Netherlands international, who has caught the eye with some exciting performances in the Belgian top flight this season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are well stocked with options in the attacking positions but as they bid to hold on to their lead at the top of the Premier League table, new recruits could be targeted in January.
Groeneveld has not featured for his side since October when he sustained a long-term ankle injury.
This blow does not appear to have deterred potential suitors in their respective interests in signing the winger, with AC Milan having reportedly seen a £9 million move for the player rebuffed by Club Brugge.
If Liverpool are to win the race for the 21-year-old, it seems they will be faced with stiff competition. Everton and Spurs are noted as potential suitors for the promising winger.
