Moreno flies out to Rome as he closes in on move away
Liverpool outcast Alberto Moreno has flown out to Rome in an attempt to finalise a deal to join Lazio and end his stay at Anfield.
Moreno only has a few months left on his deal with the Reds, and is free to talk to other clubs.
The Reds are unlikely to table a new offer to Moreno before the end of the season, according to reports and he is likely to move away.
The Liverpool Echo report that Lazio could be the club to sign Moreno, with the player now in Rome attempting to finalise a pre-contract deal.
Moreno has had a mixed career at Liverpool since signing from Sevilla in 2014, and has never really lived up to the potential he showed in Spain.
Andy Robertson has established himself as the starting left back for Jurgen Klopp’s side, leaving Moreno out in the cold.
With only two Premier League appearances to his name this season, Moreno’s Liverpool career is likely now over.
