Liverpool fans laud Henderson after Sports Personality of the Year nomination

A number of Liverpool fans have been showing their love for Jordan Henderson, following his nomination for the Sports Personality of the Year award.

The 30-year-old has enjoyed a memorable year, becoming the first Reds captain to lift the Premier League trophy.

On top of that, Henderson also won the FWA Footballer of the Year award, having had a major impact on the team’s success.

It has been an incredible story for the midfielder, who has recovered from a tough start at Anfield, almost being sold to Fulham during Brendan Rodgers’ reign, too.

A humble individual who is the perfect man to be captaining this Liverpool side, Henderson has now received one of the most prestigious honours of his career.

He is up for the Sports Personality of the Year prize, up against Lewis Hamilton and Stuart Broad so far, with more nominees set to be revealed later on Tuesday.

These Liverpool supporters have been expressing their delight for Henderson on Twitter.
