Liverpool fans won’t believe what presenter has said about the Reds

Liverpool are “the luckiest team ever” according to talkSPORT presenter Adrian Durham, in a bizarre rant.

The Reds drew 1-1 away to Midtjylland on Wednesday night, finishing off their Champions League Group D campaign in relatively forgettable fashion.

Jurgen Klopp has suffered rotten luck with injuries and VAR calls this season, so to qualify for the last-16 with a game to spare was a great effort.

Despite Liverpool tackling plenty of adversity in 2020/21, Durham actually believes they are more fortunate than anyone.

Speaking on talkSPORT after Wednesday’s game, he had the nerve to call the Reds “the luckiest team ever in the history of football”, revealing his thoughts on the matter:

There is always the chance that Durham says these things to get a rise out of Liverpool supporters – if that’s the case with this one, congratulations Adrian, it worked!

The fact of the matter is that arguably no team has been more unlucky than the Reds this season, with injuries depleting the squad and some decisions unfathomably going against them, including late incidents away to Everton and Brighton.

When you’re the best team, people just want to do everything they can to play down your achievements.
