Liverpool fans lambast Alexander-Arnold after woeful display at Southampton

A number of Liverpool fans have been left fuming with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s performance against Southampton.

The Reds were woeful yet again on Monday night, losing 1-0 at St Mary’s to continue their worrying run of form.

Former Liverpool striker Danny Ings scored the only goal of the game early on, with the champions lacking quality throughout the evening.

It means Jurgen Klopp’s men haven’t won in their last three Premier League matches, with wretched displays produced against West Brom, Newcastle United and now Saints.

On a night full of bad individual performances, Alexander-Arnold was arguably the worst player on the pitch.

The 22-year-old did almost nothing right, losing the ball an incredible 38 times and eventually being substituted in the second half.

This has now been a sustained run of below par form for Alexander-Arnold, who looks a jaded figure at the moment.

These Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to criticise his display, on a bitterly disappointing evening.
