Liverpool have seemingly held a long-standing interest in Wolves winger Adama Traore.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is a huge admirer of the 25-year-old Spaniard and has often been touted with making a move for the ace.

Now it would appear the Midlands club are coming round to the idea of cashing in on the powerful forward.

According to a report from 90Min, as cited by Graeme Bailey on Twitter, Wolves could sell Traore for £40million.

The report claims that the two parties are ‘not close’ to agreeing to a new contract and Liverpool ‘would still like to do a deal’ for the eight-times capped Spain star.

This season Traore has failed to contribute directly to a goal in 12 appearances across all competitions for Bruno Lage’s side.

This is a link that simply won’t go away.

Despite the apparent struggles to reproduce previous exploits in front of goal this term, the threat that the rapid winger possesses cannot be overlooked.

Capable of playing in various attacking positions and holding fearsome pace, the £27million valued man could become a truly sensational player under Klopp’s tutelage.

At the right price – not £40million – this deal would be a no brainer and would add a whole new complexion to the attacking weapons in the Liverpool squad.
