Liverpool are reportedly in ‘first place’ in the race to sign Torino central defender Bremer

The 24-year-old is hot property following a rapid rise to prominence in Italy and Manchester City, Tottenham, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli are all believed to be keen on the ace.

However, the Reds are the frontrunners as Jurgen Klopp attempts to further bolster the ranks ahead of the summer transfer window.

That’s according to a report from Tuttosport, as cited by Sport Witness on Twitter, claiming that the Anfield club are ‘following’ the Brazilian.

The report claims that the plethora of clubs are all ‘crazy’ over the uncapped Bremer who was described as an ‘animal’ by Mergim Vojvoda.

So far this term the Brazilian has earned an impressive 7.11 average Sofascore rating from 25 Serie A outings.

Valued at £18million and under contract in Italy until 2024 (Transfermarkt), signing Bremer this summer would be a wholly affordable venture for the Reds.

Strong in the air and at reading the play (WhoScored), the 6’2 defender looks to be ready for a move to the Premier League.

However, with Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Ibrahima Konate already in place at Anfield, there would appear to be little room for another high-quality addition in the department.

Should one leave, likely to be the linked away Gomez, perhaps Klopp will turn to Bremer.
