Alisson, Fabinho and Firmino could all miss key spring fixtures, claims report

Liverpool may have to make do without Alisson, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino for some key spring fixtures, according to the Express.

The Reds trio are all expected to be called up for Brazil duty in March, having all become regulars under Tite.

The report states that new travel restrictions imposed by the UK government could require those returning from South America to undergo 10 days of quarantine in a hotel.

With Brazil facing Argentina in a 2022 World Cup qualifier on March 30th, that could mean Alisson, Fabinho and Firmino may not be able to feature in the Premier League games against Arsenal (April 3rd) and Aston Villa (April 10th), as well as a potential Champions League quarter-final first leg (April 6th/7th).

This is a possible major issue for Klopp, who has already had to make do without so many key men this season, with injuries affecting his squad badly.

The hope is that there is some way around the issue, but considering Brazil’s clash with Argentina is a competitive game, it will be hard for Liverpool to keep the trio back in England.

More may become clearer in the coming weeks, but it is an issue a number of clubs could face.
