German giants Bayern Munich are no longer targeting Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling, according to BILD. Sterling has informed Liverpool that he has no intention of signing a new contract and his agent Aidy Ward will be engaging with other clubs in order to seal a move for his client.
Bild report that Bayern Munich held discussions with Sterling’s agent but the end result was not the one desired for Ward. It seems that Munich have decided against pursuing their interest in the 20 year old and will turn their attention elsewhere.
Ward may have seen Pep Guardiola as the ideal man to nurture Sterling but he now has to arrange discussions with other clubs. It is understood that Sterling’s preference is to move back to London so his representatives may be waiting for Arsenal or Chelsea to come in. On the other hand, Liverpool remain hopeful of convincing the England international to remain at the club.
